Cobblestone Therapy Group will kickoff its grand opening to celebrate its recent expansion as it increases in both space and service provision. In order to meet unprecedented increases in demand for speech, occupational, and physical therapy services, Cobblestone completed construction on July 28, 2008 adding two clinical therapy rooms, a physical therapy gym, and a classroom. Roswell, GA July 28, 2008 – Cobblestone Therapy Group will kickoff the grand opening of their newly expanded speech, physical, and occupational therapy clinic located in Roswell, GA on August 4, 2008 from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The expansion includes an addition of 1200 square feet of space and two new providers: physical therapist, Denise Powell, and speech/language pathologist, Lisa Blake. The growth allows Cobblestone Therapy Group the opportunity to meet the unprecedented increases in demand for comprehensive speech, occupational, and physical therapy services. This full day event will be hosted by Cobblestone’s founders and will include tours, Q&A, games, balloons, and fun door prizes for the kids. According to the American Speech Language Hearing Association, the number of children with disabilities, ages 3-21, in Fall 2003 was 6,068,802. Specific populations on the rise include Autism with reports indicating that today, 1 in 150 individuals is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined. Autism occurs in all racial, ethnic, and social groups and is four times more likely to strike boys than girls. “We are excited to be able now to provide more comprehensive therapy services. So many parents have to drive to different locations for their children to receive the treatment they need. This expansion allows parents to come to one setting for the bulk of their services. Parents can relax with a good book or get some shopping done while their children are being cared for by experienced and compassionate providers.” remarks Heather Taylor, co-founder of Cobblestone. Cobblestone added 1200 square feet of newly renovated adjoining office space to include an addition of two clinical therapy offices, a physical therapy gym, free Wi-Fi, a classroom, and additional entertaining and educational waiting room space. This adds to Cobblestone’s existing 2000 square feet of office space which includes an occupational therapy gym, four clinic rooms, and a kitchenette for feeding therapy services.
