FALL GROUPS

Cobblestone Therapy Group
Presents Three New 8-week Social Skills Groups Beginning October 14th.

1. Children ages 10-12 years who have high functioning PDD and/or ADHD: Class meets on Tuesdays beginning October 14th, from 4:30-5:30.

2. Children ages 5-7 years who have high functioning PDD and/or ADHD: Class meets on Thursdays beginning October 16th, from 4:30-5:30.

3. Children ages 3-6 years who have Autism/PDD who are functioning at the moderate level: Class meets on Thursdays beginning October 16th, from 3:00-4:00.

The purpose of each social skills group is:
a) To improve self-esteem and build confidence while communicating with both adults and children
b) To appropriately identify and express feelings and emotions
c) To teach children how to interact and communicate with others
d) To practice these skills in a small group facilitated by speech language pathologists and masters level teachers specialized in PDD/social language disorders.

Specific skills targeted during the 8 weeks may include making new friends, making introductions, asking someone to play, joining in play, turn-taking in conversation and during play, asking for help appropriately, sharing, social problem solving including simple conflict resolution, and starting/maintaining conversations.

Cost: 8-weeks at $240.00 ($30.00 per hour)
